During the symposium, we welcomed Dr. Antoine Lemaire, Head of Oncology and Medical Specialities, Center for Pain Assessment and Treatment Mobile Support and Palliative Care Team, Valenciennes Hospital, France, and Prof. Anton Emmanuel, Professor in Neuro-Gastroenterology at University College London and Consultant Gastroenterologist at University College Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

The speakers discussed the management of and accountability for patients with breakthrough cancer pain (BTcP) and opioid induced constipation (OIC), and how to ensure that these symptoms that severely impact QOL are addressed in the post-Covid world.
