Guidelines for the treatment and management of vitamin D deficiency:
NICE:
Vitamin D: supplement use in specific population groups
This guideline aims to increase supplement use to prevent vitamin D deficiency among specific population groups, as identified in 2012 by the UK Health Departments (Vitamin D – advice on supplements for at risk groups – letter from UK Chief Medical Officers Department of Health), and in 2016 by the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition's vitamin D and health report.

Vitamin D and Bone Health: A Practical Clinical Guideline for Patient
Management
The Royal Osteoporosis Society published a practical clinical guideline in 2013 on the management of vitamin D deficiency in adult patients with, or at risk of developing bone disease. The guideline has now been updated by a group of clinicians and scientists with expertise in vitamin D and osteoporosis, using evidence from the Institute of Medicine (IOM) Report in 2010 and the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) Report on Vitamin D and Health in 2016, supplemented by the identification of papers published subsequently.
